As an all women, volunteer run organization, we pass over 93% of your donations on to our projects and programs. ERA is a 501(c)(3) registered organization with the IRS, and donations are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Egypt Relief & Aid’s Donation Policy
Donations to Egypt Relief & Aid via our website can only be refunded in exceptional circumstances*. If Egypt Relief & Aid (or its appointed supplier) has made an administrative error in handling your donation, for example, if we’ve accidentally taken two payments, we will, of course, be happy to issue a refund. If you believe we have made an error, please contact us at finance@egyptreliefandaid.org
*If you have made an error in making your donation to Egypt Relief & Aid, we will honor your request for a refund made within 30 days of your donation.
To request a refund, email finance@egyptreliefandaid.org. Refunds are issued using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same card as used for the original transaction.
Unless otherwise noted, Egypt Relief & Aid will use your gift for the project(s) that Egypt Relief & Aid determines is in need of funding.
Egypt Relief & Aid reserves the right to move funds to support other project(s) that Egypt Relief & Aid determines is more urgent or if the program that was selected has met its financial goals.
Egypt Relief & Aid is a recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
A small portion of your donation will go toward processing costs charged by credit card platforms or third party administrators. As we are an all volunteer team, no portion of your donation will go towards personnel or staff costs.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CREDIT CARD DONATIONS FOR ZAKAT: Please consider adding 3% when using Visa and Mastercard to your total zakat donation—this will compensate for any transaction fees deducted from your donation by the credit card companies and will ensure that your intended zakat amount is paid in full.
