Ayat E., President & Co-Founder

Ayat is co-founder of Egypt Relief and Aid. She has experience working in sustainable development, community building, and grassroots philanthropy. After decades of visiting her beloved ancestral homeland, she is excited to explore avenues for supporting and uplifting Egyptians through partnering with local charities and NGOs. Ayat has a particular interest in equipping women with tools and resources to realize their aspirations for abundance, and in continuing the legacy of community-driven resiliency initiatives. Eman M., Treasurer

Eman Mahmoud is a native Egyptian and a Cairo-based board member of ERA. She joined the team during her master’s program at The Ohio State University, where she graduated with a Specialized Masters in Business - Finance and is a Fulbright alumnus. She is an experienced corporate banking professional, having worked in local and international banks in the MENA region since 2011. Eman manages ERA's relationships with our various local partners and liaises with agencies for compliance. She is passionate about creating lasting change contributing to sustainable development. Ola M., Secretary

Ola is a proud Egyptian-American and nonprofit professional passionate about building effective nonprofit institutions and empowering community-centered social impact. As the Director of Nonprofits at the American Muslim Community Foundation, Ola connects with non-profits across the U.S. and manages grassroots endowments. Prior to her current work, Ola practiced immigration law at Aljijakli, Kosseff & Prendergast, LLC, where she focused on asylum, humanitarian-based cases and refugee support. Magda M., General Member

Magda's main career was in IT. She worked in corporate America as a software developer and project manager before transitioning to the nonprofit sector in 2009. She has a Masters in Systems Analysis and Management and completed post-graduate studies in Information Technology.

Magda is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and volunteers with local and international NGOs. She specializes in donor relationship management, development projects, and grant writing. Magda may be reached at magda (at) egyptreliefandaid (dot) org

Sherrin N., Co-Founder

Sherrin is co-founder of ERA and focuses her work on strategic planning, program management, and grant writing. As an active member in social change for the last decade, Sherrin has served as Program Manager for the Adei Institute and is President of the Heart to Heart Muslim Chaplaincy Program at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
